As an artist in his own right and as an accomplished producer and engineer, London-based sonic powerhouse Tom Demac has rightly earned his reputation as ‘the finisher’ (to quote one satisfied major label customer).

The headline acts dialling him up for a high-end result include Skream, Paul Woolford, Jax Jones, Craig David, MNEK, Surya Sen, Eats Everything, Sophie & The Giants, ABSOLUTE., 220 Kid, Bklava, Supershy (Tom Misch) and many more besides. It’s no coincidence these projects have led to chart success, from Jax Jones’ ‘Miss U’ on Polydor in October 2020 and Navos’ ‘Believe Me’ in January 2021 through to breaking the UK Top Ten with Jax Jones’ knockout 2022 hit ‘Where Did You Go?’. On top of that, his work with Paul Woolford on a remix of The Knocks’ ‘Slow Song’ earned a Grammy nomination in late 2022. Whether deep in the reeds of mix engineering or bringing innovative flair to the production process, Demac’s skill set is versatile and deep-rooted.

Demac’s background as an artist is in the international house and techno world, having progressed from self-releasing and distributing his own records in the UK underground to working with labels such as Kompakt and Hypercolour, remixing artists such as Roisin Murphy, Pet Shop Boys, Maribou State, Metronomy and Gazelle Twin. He’s performed as a live act the world over, working a hardware set up with flawless precision from the major clubs of Ibiza to techno temples such as Berghain’s Saulé and Panoramabar. Favouring the warmth and personality of analogue gear for his distinctive artistic identity, his understanding of outboard equipment runs in tandem with his overall production nous.

Whether it’s tracks pitched at prime time airplay or pumping over a sound system, Demac has the knowledge and experience to bring a piece of music to its fullest potential. It’s little wonder labels from Warner and Polydor to Atlantic and Universal are reaching out to make sure their tracks have earned that crucial stamp: Finished by Tom Demac.
